
Born: 1970, Nagano, Japan
On joining Capcom in 1994, Kamiya first worked as a planner on Resident Evil (PSX) before moving on to direct Resident Evil 2 (PSX), Devil May Cry (PS2) and Viewtiful Joe (GC). In 2004, Kamiya joined Capcom's subsidary CloverStudio, where he released Okami to worldwide critical acclaim in 2006. In August 2006, Kamiya moved on to SEEDS Inc., where he is currently creating Bayonetta for PlatinumGames Inc.

Hello everyone. It's been a long time. Hideki Kamiya here.
Actually, come to think of it, it's been two years since Okami, hasn't it? I'm sure that during these past two years some of you may have thought that we'd gotten ourselves into some sort of jam, and now I'm incredibly pleased to finally answer those fears with a resounding, "We've been making a game!".
We haven't had anything to say for a while, but my creed towards making games hasn't changed in the least.
"Everything is for those who love games – ".
With this thought in mind, I look forward to everyone's support during the long struggle ahead.
Now, I suppose I should tell you about what I've been working on, right!? Well... I really wanted to, but things got a bit too long, so I'll have to leave you with this greeting for now.
